In its edition of Monday November 6, 1972, Linn’s Stamp News (which is still in publication) reported that commemorative space covers would be issued from Honeysuckle Creek to mark the end of the Apollo lunar missions. Preserved by Milton Turner.

Here are some first day covers issued on 7 December 1972, to mark the launch of Apollo 17.
