Terry Kierans remembers Carnarvon (44 minutes, 32MB mp3 file)

In 1994, Hamish Lindsay recorded this interview with Terence (Terry) Kierans on a DAT (Digitial Audio Tape format) tape.

It seems to have been recorded in Canberra.

The recording ends abruptly, though perhaps Terry felt that was an appropriate place to stop as he recalled the devastation of the loss of the Apollo 1 crew.

The tape was digitised by Colin Mackellar in June 2024.

This frame from the film The Vital Link (from 18:45) appears to have been filmed during Network Simulation 2, probably in May 1966. (In May 1966, Ken travelled from Honeysuckle, which was under construction, and spent some time learning the USB system at Carnarvon.)
